. The Foundation has lit a lamp in memory of Ganesh Nepali, who died after self-immolation in front of the Passport Department in Tripureshwor.
A group of office bearers and members of the Foundation lit the lamp at Maitighar Mandala on Monday evening. On the occasion, they also disseminated traffic awareness messages.
Ganesh’s body was cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat on Monday after the government and his family reached an agreement with the government.
On July 25, in front of the Passport Department, the Metropolitan Police had installed a Helil lock on Ganesh’s motorcycle. He later attempted self-immolation and died while undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital on Friday.
