Political interest over the future of the NC-UML alliance has increased in Koshi Province after all the ministers of the Nepali Congress resigned from the post of Chief Minister in Karnali Province. At a time when differences are being seen among the alliance even in the Far-West, discussions about the continuity of the Koshi government have started.
Meanwhile, Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning of Koshi Province, Bidur Kumar Linthep, has claimed that the power equation in the province will not be broken.
Talking to Nepal News Bank, he said that the alliance between NC and UML in Koshi would continue.
Stating that there is a constitutional provision for the formation of a government on the basis of majority, he clarified that there was no problem in the present alliance of Koshi Province. UML Secretary Hikmat Kumar Karki is currently the chief minister of Koshi Province. The budget for the fiscal year 2083÷84 was passed by the Provincial Assembly after the parties agreed on the budget for the fiscal year 208384.
