. Nepal Telecom has introduced a new online application for a new SIM card in place of lost or damaged SIM card.
Issuing a press release on Friday, Nepal Telecom stated that the service will be launched from July 1
.
Now if the physical or e-SIM of Nepal Telecom is lost or damaged, the service recipient can log in to the esim. ntc. net. np and fill in the required details through the ‘Apply for Lost/Damaged SIM’ option.
After completing the application, the customer can get a new SIM from the concerned counter after completing the application process.
To get a new SIM card, one has to pay Rs 50 at the counter.
If the client is unable to attend in person, the name of the representative must be mentioned on the application form. In addition, the representative will also have to submit documents that reveal his or her identity. The company says that this arrangement has been made keeping in mind the privacy and security of the customer.
The portal offers services like to get a new SIM in place of lost or damaged SIM, to get a new prepaid e-SIM, to change physical SIM to e-SIM, to get a new physical SIM and update the customer details (KYC). Nepal Telecom believes that this service will make the SIM replacement process easier, faster and more systematic.
