‘Ghostly’ gets off to a bumper start, shows to be added across the country

. The Nepali movie ‘Gaunthali’, which was released all over the country on Friday, July 1, has made an encouraging start at the box office. The film received a positive response from day one when the audience reached the hall regardless of the monsoon rains.

The film, which had a bumper opening on the first day, got significant support from the audience on the second day on Saturday. Various multiplexes and mofussil halls have increased the number of shows after the presence of the audience in most of the halls across the country since morning.

According to the distributor of the film, Karan Shrestha, after the positive response received on the first day, the hall operators have added additional shows as per the demand of the audience.

“On the first day, we had more than two hundred shows,” he said. On the second day, that number increased significantly. After the audience liked the film, the occupancy is also high across the country. He thanked the producers, directors and artists who went to various halls to get feedback on the film and thanked the audience for watching the best film. The audience has openly praised the subject matter of the film, the acting of the actors and the message given to the society. Most of the viewers have said that they have been deeply touched by the struggle of the character of ‘Ghostly’ and the importance of the daughter’s education.

Director Dr. Kapil Rijal said that the entire team is excited by the positive response from the audience.

He said, “We have been interviewing the audience in different halls since Friday morning.

The audience has understood the message that the film is trying to convey. They have realized the struggle of ‘Swallows’ and this is our success. Actor Arun Chhetri said that the audience has loved his character very much. He said that the audience praised the film openly by repeating his famous dialogue ‘Gai ko ghee, I love you’.

“It was the most challenging character of my career,” he said.

The audience has connected emotionally with the characters, that’s our achievement. Actress Simran Khadka, who is in the lead role of ‘Gaunthali’, said that the audience loved her like a daughter and felt emotionally attached to the character.

“A lot of people feel that the struggle of ‘Swallows’ is intertwined with their own lives,” she said.
