Five students of The British Model College win prestigious international awards

Five students of The British Model College have been awarded the prestigious International Award

. Five students from The British Model College and Arya from The British Model College won the Bronze Award at The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award.

Arya Gurung, Marisha Devi Gurung, Neir Amatya, Siyana and Shashank Jha have been formally honored at the National Award Ceremony 2026 organized by The Duke of Edinburgh International Award Nepal in the prestigious youth development program.

 

The ceremony was held on Monday, July 19, 2008 at Alice Reception in Gairidhara, Kathmandu. Bronze, Silver and Gold award winners from across the country were honored in recognition of their hard work, dedication, commitment to self-development and community service. The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is a globally recognized youth development programme that encourages young people to learn new skills, stay physically active, contribute to community service and develop their personality through adventures.

The Bronze Award recognizes the participants’ continuous hard work, discipline and personal development as a significant achievement. 

Congratulating the students for this achievement, Arun Kumar Kandel, on behalf of BEG Board and BMC College Management, said, “Your hard work, dedication and commitment has made us all proud.

Your achievements have been a source of inspiration to other students. We wish you much more success in the days to come. The college has expressed special gratitude to Rajan Kumar Rai for providing necessary guidance and continuous support to the students to reach this milestone. 

The British Model College has given equal priority to academic excellence as well as the overall personality development of the students.

The College is not only encouraging students to participate in co-curricular and character-building programs such as The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, but also contributes to the development of confident, capable and socially responsible future leaders.

The Duke of Edinburgh International Award is a self-development program for young people between the ages of 14 and 24. The college has been continuously encouraging students to move forward as confident, capable and socially responsible citizens through such co-curricular and leadership development programs.
