‘Balen government has crossed the line, all communists must be united for an alternative’
. The speakers have stressed on the need for all communists to unite and resist the blatant foreign interference and the national independence of Nepal is at risk. Speaking at a programme organized by the National Revolutionary Front Nepal at Sambad Dabali in the capital on Thursday, they stressed the need of finding an alternative to the Balen government as it has crossed the limit.
Santa Bahadur Nepali, coordinator of the United Front of 7 constituents, said that the country has fallen into the hands of the ‘extreme right’ after a long time due to the weakness of the communists when they were in power in the past.
He stressed that all communists should be united against the increasing foreign interference in the country and the government’s anti-people moves.
On the occasion of the 48th Memorial Day of Pushpalal, CPN Coordinator Lok Narayan Subedi presented a working paper on ‘The Question of Resistance Movement against Foreign Interference and National Surrenderism and Comrade Pushpalal’. Subedi stressed on the need for all genuine communist revolutionaries to unite and agitate to protect national independence.
Subedi claimed that the necessity and importance of the policies of Pushpa Lal, the idol of the Nepali communist movement and the founding ideological leader, has further increased.
“If the unity of hundreds of thousands of huts is Nepal’s nationality, then the rights and welfare of those huts is people’s democracy” is the ideology of Pushpa Lal to take the issue of communist movement to the people and connect Buddha’s principles of peace and Panchasheel,” Subedi said.
On the occasion of the 48th memorial day of Pushpalal, foreign affairs expert Hiranya Lal Shrestha said that Pushpalal had a special contribution to the promotion of national independence, people’s freedom and livelihood as well as in the formulation of Nepal’s foreign policy.
Responding to a query from journalists, Shrestha said that no one can remove the political map of Nepal which has been unanimously passed by the parliament by incorporating Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura. Commenting on the working paper , senior economist Dr Dilli Raj Khanal said that the incumbent government has created tax terror and has terrorized the people. “Nepal’s dependency has increased as the movements so far have not been able to bring about a drastic change in the production relations of Nepal, due to which the country’s economy is subservient to imperialism,” Khanal said.
Senior advocate Dr. Dandapani Poudel said that the working paper presented by Subedi was very relevant as per the present time and stressed that it should be further enriched and used for decisive peace. Ram
Singh Shreesh, a standing committee member of the Revolutionary Communist Party of Nepal, said that peace should be understood in terms of class ratio. Lokkrishna Bhattarai, president of Pushpalal Study Society, said that the working paper was correct in overall and stressed the need for all communist components to unite against imperialism.
Mandhoj Gurung, a constituent of the Morcha and chairman of the CPN (Marxist) (Marxist), recalled Pushpa Lal’s statement that the problems of the peasants cannot be solved without the current situation. Narayan Sharma, secretariat member of the National Revolutionary Front, Nepal Constituent Nepal Party, said that Nepal’s change could be materialized only if the thoughts, policies and principles of Pushpalal were properly understood and implemented
