. Nepali movie ‘Gaunthali’ has entered the second week of its release. With the positive response of the film, the number of shows is continuously increasing across the country.

Director Dr. Kapil Rijal said that the film development board publishes the official box office data every Monday. He said that the love of the audience and the message given by the film is more special than the business.

“Through the film, we have given a message to the audience that society and family should behave with people with different abilities and educate daughters, this is important. The business of the film is also good, but we are more focused on the artistic aspect,” Rijal said.

Dr. Rijal said that his fascination with art, literature and culture that has been flowing for generations is a continuation of his passion for film making.

Director Dr. According to Rijal, his attraction towards art and literature did not arise all of a sudden. His grandfather was a litterateur, his father was a senior physician. Bhola Rijal was active in literature, music and films, and had a creative environment at home, these things attracted him to acting and stories since childhood.

During his medical studies in school and college, he continued to produce short films and music videos. Even though he was a dentist by profession, he never stopped creating.

Dr. The answer to the question of why health, education and social issues come up frequently in Rijal’s films is also found in his life experience.

According to him, because he grew up in the same environment, the stories are also born from there. “If I were a banker’s son, I would have told banking stories. We grew up in an environment of health and education. So those issues come to the center of our creation,” he says.

For them, health and education are the fundamental rights of every Nepali.

It is this belief that connects his stories to social sensibilities.

Rijal, who has already directed ‘Harry Ki Pyari’, has chosen a different path this time.

About 25 years ago, his father Dr. Inspired by Bhola Rijal’s ‘Gaunthali’, the reinterpreted version has been prepared for the new generation with modern technology.

According to him, the objective of the film is to establish Nepali language, culture, costumes, music and village life as a work that will survive the time through modern cinematic presentation.

The film, which had about 200 shows at the beginning of its release, has now got more than 250 shows. As the number of spectators increased in most of the halls, the business performance was also encouraging.

Directors, actors and production team have been meeting the audience live in various halls of mofussil including Kathmandu Valley and getting feedback.

The movie stars Arun Chhetri, Simran Khadka, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Prakash Ghimire, Luniva Tuladhar, Rabindra Jha, Ishwori Baral, Sanjog Rasaili, Sitadevi Timilsina, Laxminath Timilsina and others.
