Dhangadhi. A committee led by Prime Minister’s Health Advisor Dr JP Agrawal has reached Dhangadhi to hold talks with Dr Govinda KC, who has been staging his 24th hunger strike in Dhangadhi.
The other members of the committee are Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Sports Chudamani Poudel and Health Secretary.
The three government representatives, including coordinator Agrawal, met Dr. Agrawal on Saturday. Although KC met normally, formal talks will take place today.

KC’s third demand is to implement the legal provisions of the Act to make medical education completely non-profit.
KC has also demanded implementation of written agreements reached with the erstwhile government, protection of health rights of the people in the border areas, impartial investigation into the vandalism and violence during the Genji agitation on September 7 and 24 and bringing the traitors to book.
He said that there is an attempt to curtail the health rights of the citizens living in remote areas.
