Hetauda. A man was found lying in a pool of blood in front of the Transport Management Office at Thanabhairyang of Hetauda Sub-metropolis-11 in Makwanpur district.
According to preliminary information, the deceased has been identified as Asman Gopali, a resident of Chitlang, Thaha Municipality Ward No. 3 of Makwanpur.
A woman who was with the deceased is absconding after the incident and a search is on for her, police said. Superintendent of Police (SP) Shyam Bahadur Khatri of District Police Office, Makwanpur, has reached the incident site and is leading the investigation. Police said that the police have intensified the collection of evidence, interrogation of eyewitnesses and other investigations by keeping the incident site under security cordon. Likewise, Inspector Raju Bista of District Traffic Police Office, Makawanpur, has also been mobilized at the incident site. Ward chairperson of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-11 has also reached the incident site and is coordinating with the relatives of the deceased and providing necessary assistance. Police said they have taken the incident seriously and are investigating the matter.
The exact cause of the incident, the involvement of the absconding woman and the nature of the death are yet to be ascertained.
