Dohori and dance bar operation in Hetauda demands time management, investigation into the death of a girl working in RRS Dohori continues
Hetauda. Voices have been raised to fix the operating time of the night-long duet evenings and dance bars in Hetauda and to keep the records of the employees working there.
Local stakeholders have said that the documents revealing the identity of the employees working in duet and dance bars should be protected by the concerned administration, their identity should be clear and regular monitoring should be done to ensure that child labor is being used.
According to them, although it is often discussed that Indian nationals are working in various duet and dance bars in Hetauda along with different districts of Nepal, it is not clear whether the authorities concerned have exact data and records.
Meanwhile, the death of a young woman working as a waiter at RRS Dohori and Thakali Kitchen at TCN Road, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-10 has increased the concern over the incident. According to the District Police Office, Makawanpur, Anisha BK, 17-18 years old of Padampur of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-11 in Chitwan district and currently living in Hetauda-10 was found unconscious in her rented room.
His friends had taken him to Hetauda Hospital for treatment at around 6.15 am. Police received information at around 6:30 am that doctors at the hospital conducted an ECG test and confirmed that he was dead.
As soon as the information was received, an investigation team led by Superintendent of Police Shyam Bahadur Khatri from the District Police Office, Makwanpur was deployed to the incident site. SP Khatri said that the investigation into the incident was underway and it was not possible to draw any conclusion about the cause of death.
The exact cause of the incident will be known only after the final report of the investigation, police said.
After the incident, demands have been raised to fix the exact operating hours of the dance bars and duet evenings in Hetauda, to carry out regular monitoring, to keep the records of the employees working there systematically and to strictly enforce the labor and safety standards.
The stakeholders have pointed out the need for effective regulation by the administration, police and concerned bodies to prevent such incidents from recurring.
