Agreement between the Home Minister and the family of the deceased

Sirha. Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has signed an eight-point agreement with the family of Ganesh Yadav, who was shot dead in Siraha.

The house of the deceased was found in Aurahi Rural Municipality Ward No. Home Minister Gurung and the victims’ families have reached an agreement on the demands including fair investigation into the incident, action against the guilty, compensation and guarantee free education to the family members of the deceased, according to Home Minister Gurung. 

The agreement was signed by Home Minister Sudhan Gurung on behalf of the government and father Ram Briksha Yadav on behalf of the deceased. Ganesh Yadav was killed in police firing on July 30 while he was protesting against the incident in Dewangunj of Sunsari. Meanwhile, the District Administration Office, Siraha, has lifted the curfew imposed in Lahan Municipality and Golbazaar Municipality after normal life in Lahan.

 

After the lifting of the curfew imposed in Lahan Municipality area, the movement of people has increased in the surrounding areas and four-wheelers and two-wheelers have also started plying.

According to the District Administration Office, Siraha, the curfew order has remained in place as the security situation in the Gol Bazaar area has not returned to normal. Security personnel have been deployed in the Golbazar area to prevent further violence. There is no movement of people. The market and shops are closed.
