. Annapurna Rural Municipality-3 of Myagdi district has declared a public holiday following the tragic demise of Nepali mountaineer Nirmal ‘Nimsdai’ Purja and members of the expedition team.
Issuing a press release on Sunday, Annapurna Rural Municipality has decided to declare a holiday on Monday to mourn the climbers who lost their lives in the incident.
The rural municipality has urged all citizens to pay tribute to the departed mountaineers and unite in this hour of grief. “His untimely demise has caused an irreparable loss not only to Nepal but also to the world mountaineering community,” the rural municipality said.
Annapurna Rural Municipality has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic demise of world-famous Nepali mountaineer Nirmal Nimsdai Purja and his expedition team members in a massive avalanche on the 8,047-metre high Bread Peak mountain in Pakistan.
