Little. Constituent Assembly member Pemba Gurung Bhote has said that the country’s future lies in the sincere and honest implementation of the constitution as it is a document of agreement between political parties.
Gurung said this while addressing a symposium on ‘Neapolity and Importance of Political Science Education and Role of Political Parties in Changing Context’ organized by the Political Science Society Nepal in Tanahun.
In his address, leader Gurung said that finding flaws in the constitution alone would not achieve completeness, warning that the tendency to seek alternatives to the political system and constitution would not take the country to the right destination.
“Another political party can be an alternative to a political party, but there cannot be another alternative to the system,” he said, adding, “If we only seek alternative over alternative, it will not yield any positive results.” If we just disagree, we will never reach the point of completion. Stating that no philosophy or ideology or ideology could be cent per cent complete, leader Gurung said problems have surfaced in the context of Nepal due to the lack of practical implementation of such philosophy, he said, adding that although Marxism envisioned by Karl Marx was Europe-centric, he had revised it in Nepal and described it as ‘people’s multiparty democracy’.
Referring to the Nepali Congress, he said, “In the preamble of the constitution, we have mentioned the goal towards socialism, but our path is completely heading towards capitalism.
The country has suffered due to the lack of alignment of the political line and the way to walk. Referring to the changing political scenario , Bhote urged the local politicians of Tanahun to identify the real needs of the district and their role without relying on the center.
Referring to the victory of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in Tanahun district, he said, “NC has lost its place in Tanahun constituency-1 which was the arena of BP Koirala and Ram Chandra Poudel in the past.”
Such results come when you do not understand the time and situation. Local leaders and cadres should seriously review this. “
Gurung stressed that the politicians themselves should be self-reliant and take politics as a service and duty rather than a profession. He was of the view that the time has come for the intellectuals and leaders of political science to introspect to give the country the right direction by improving their conduct.
