‘Mahila Shakti Jagran Abhiyan’ against dowry system and harassment of women has been launched
Kathmandu. Actress Rekha Thapa and Miss Nepal Usha Khadgi jointly inaugurated ‘Mahila Shakti Jagran Abhiyan’ against dowry system. Organizing a press conference in the capital on Sunday, Kalkisham Research Center has said that it will launch ‘Mahila Shakti Jagran Abhiyan’ through ‘Kalki Kalaw’ and Kalki Currency Campaign.
Actress Rekha Thapa said that women are still deprived of their rights in Nepal.
She said that ‘Kalki Women’ is going to be new and effective in the context of various campaigns going on in Nepal for women’s liberation.
Thanking the founder of Kalkisham Research Center, Thapa said, “It is very commendable that Mr. 666 G, who studied in America and made a name for himself there, returned home and thought about justice for the oppressed women.” Dr. Uma Shankar Prasad, chairperson of Kalkism Research and Training Center, has claimed that people around the world are facing more oppression in the name of various disputes. Prasad said that the world should be taken in a new direction by establishing Kalkiism as an alternative to capitalism, communism and socialism.
Miss Nepal Usha Khadgi expressed her confidence that the campaign would play an important role in bringing legal reforms in Nepal by raising public awareness against social ills such as dowry, violence against women and gender inequality.
Khadgi said that support from media, civil society and stakeholders was necessary to make this campaign a topic of national discourse.

666, founder of Kalkisham Research and Training Center, said that the main goal of making Nepal a dowry-free country is to make Nepal a dowry free country.
He pledged to end the evil practice of dowry, strengthen women’s safety and rights legally within three years and create a national debate on social justice. Mr. 666 said that the idea is to implement the legal provision that the bride and groom should spend equally on the wedding, to make Nepal completely cashless by implementing ‘Kalki Currency’ with barcode, and to develop a separate digital currency system for each family. Similarly, in cases of assault or other violence against women, financial fine should be recovered from the culprits and arrangements should be made for women’s security technology or mobilization of women police, he said. Mr. 666 has demanded that in the case of the murder of the daughter-in-law or suspected suicide, all the expenses incurred on the marriage should be returned to the girl’s parents with 25 percent interest and a legal provision should be made to prevent the men of the concerned family from remarrying. Vice-President of Kalkisam Research Centre, Dr Pancha Kumari Manandhar stressed on the need of women-friendly laws for social reforms based on equality and justice and reduction of violence against women. Bhupi Ayer, a member of the organization, said that sons and daughters will get a share in the property only after the death of their parents.
Ayer, who is also the president of Padyam Kanya Campus, said that all women should be aware to end violence against women in Nepal.
Jasmine Ojha, an activist of Genji, said that the ‘Mahila Shakti Jagran Abhiyan’ will make a big contribution to women’s liberation.
