. KATHMANDU: Nepali Communist Party (NCP) joint coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the party should move ahead with new confidence by correcting weakness by finding reasons for the declining attraction of the people towards the communist movement.

Speaking at a program organized to mark the 24th Botle Memorial Day here today, Nepal stressed the need to review the party’s weaknesses along with the positive works carried out by it.”Let’s also review the good work we have done,” he said.

Let’s also find out what our weaknesses are. Due to weakness, people have become frustrated and attraction towards the communist party has decreased. Let’s find out about it. Let us have the courage to correct our errors. Let’s get up again. Let us move forward with a new belief that we can all face challenges. “

Nepal also said that the communist party should be based on policy, ideology and principle rather than worshipping individuals. He also urged the party leaders to put an end to the tendency of flattery and cheering, adding that policy-level discussions and ideological commitments should be given priority in the party.

He said, “Our Communist Party is a party that provides policies, a party that provides ideas.

No one should do the work of flattering the leaders, do not cheer for them. This applies to all parties. Focus on policy rather than individual, focus on party’s ideology and principles. We must take the lead in protecting people’s trust in Nepal’s politics. Let us all join hands in this regard. ’
