Kathmandu. Prabhu Bank Limited has refuted the recent media reports terming them as misleading. The bank has acknowledged that there have been shortcomings in the past and has issued a statement saying that these weaknesses will not be repeated.
The statement was sent by Junior Officer of the Bank, Pooja Bam, to Dipendra Babu Bista, Head of Marketing.
In the last few days, various media have reported about the controversy between the members of the bank’s board of directors.
The bank has not refuted the news published but has only refuted it in a way that misrepresents the entire media. The fact that the bank’s director Ambika Lamichhane had taken payment from the bank to her son’s company was published in various media with evidence, bill number, and date. The media had also published news about the controversial past of the bank’s director Ramesh Raj Aryal and the appointment of another director of the bank, Birkha Bahadur Basnet. These news reports also included facts and documentary evidence to corroborate the news. However, the bank has refuted the fact that the matter proved by the paper and the fact accepted by the director himself is also misleading.
Moreover, the special thing is that from this time onwards, Prabhu Bank has seen a strange trend of signing the bank’s statement itself. The grammatical inaccuracies at the end of the press release show that someone else prepared the statement by converting it to Unicode font. The bank has also said that if the news in the media is false, other media will also be angry.
