Bajura. BAJURA: A man has died after consuming poisonous wild mushroom in Bajura. The deceased has been identified as Ram Bahadur Thapa, 51, of Badimalika municipality-7 in the district.
He fell ill on Monday afternoon after eating mushrooms grown in the forest. Thapa breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Bajura, according to District Police Office, Bajura’s Police Inspector and Spokesperson Naresh Bahadur Shahi.
Doctors pronounced Thapa dead at 11:40 pm after consuming poisonous mushroom curry.
Namsari Thapa, 50, wife of the deceased Thapa, has also fallen seriously ill after consuming wild mushroom. Thapa is undergoing treatment at a hospital after consuming poisonous mushroom.
A team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Shaileshwari Bohara had reached the incident site after receiving information about the incident.
Further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
