Makwanpur traffic tightens in Makwanpur, 50 vehicles taken action

Hetauda. The District Traffic Police Office, Makawanpur has started cracking down on vehicles violating traffic rules in view of road safety. 

According to police, vehicle checking campaigns are being conducted in different places almost daily to minimize road accidents, maintain road discipline and make drivers responsible to traffic rules. Police Inspector Ramesh Bista of District Traffic Police Office, Makawanpur, said that the special checking campaign was launched after receiving complaints from the general public about the operation of overloaded vehicles, operating autos without stickers, smoking while driving and ignoring traffic rules. According to the police, 50 vehicles violating traffic rules were taken action during the same campaign.

Police Inspector Bista said that action has been taken against the drivers not carrying the required documents, driving the vehicle against the set standard, overloading and violating other traffic rules.

According to police, the risk of road accidents has increased with the increasing traffic pressure in Makawanpur.

Therefore, with the objective of minimizing accidents, making the roads safe and orderly, and increasing traffic awareness among both drivers and passengers, traffic checking has been continued.

The District Traffic Police Office, Makawanpur has urged all the drivers to fully follow the traffic rules, carry the necessary documents of the vehicles, not to carry passengers or luggage beyond the set capacity and to operate the vehicles responsibly.

 

Police have stated that they will continue to strictly monitor and take action against the vehicles violating the rules in the coming days as well.
