Responding to the queries raised by the lawmakers in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, Minister Mehta said that the Ministry was serious about making health service delivery more accessible, qualitative, effective and accessible to all. Stating that the government was forwarding necessary works keeping the reform of the health sector in top priority, she said the answers were presented by incorporating questions and suggestions related to the ministry’s jurisdiction.”

Replying to a query on the supply of anti-snake venom, Minister Mehta said that according to the data of the Department of Health Services, there are currently 1,269 doses of anti-snake venom in stock across the country.
According to him, 138 doses are available in center stores, 444 doses in provincial health supply centers, 222 doses in health offices and 465 doses of anti-snake venom in snakebite treatment centers.
