2,489 drivers taken action in 24 hours, more than 2.2 million revenue collected

Kathmandu. More than 2,000 drivers have been taken action in the last 24 hours. The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office stated that 2,489 drivers were taken action for breaching traffic rules in the past 24 hours. As a result, Rs 2,274,504 revenue has been deposited in the state exchequer.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 49 people were taken for drunken drinking, 258 for ride-sharing against the rules, 170 for traffic code violators and 112 for speeding.

Similarly, action taken against 325 people for flouting lane discipline, 64 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 121 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 62 for boarding and dropping passengers at designated places and 1,328 for not following other traffic rules.
