Kathmandu. Press Freedom Day is being observed across the globe today. The Press Freedom Day is also celebrated in Nepal by organizing various programs.
Press Freedom Day is observed on May 3 every year to commemorate the launch of the Windhawk Declaration for a Free and Pluralistic Press.
The declaration was issued in 1993 at a UNESCO event in Namibia’s Windhoc city with the participation of senior journalists, journalism professors and freedom advocates.
