Government decides to send ordinance related to Constitutional Council to President for re-approval

Kathmandu. A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday decided to recommend the ordinance related to the Constitutional Council to the President again for approval. The meeting of the Council of Ministers decided to recommend the ordinance brought by the President for review again, said government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel.

President Ram Chandra Poudel had sent the ordinance back to the government for reconsideration.

Likewise, the government has decided to accept concessional loan worth 52 million US dollars and 5 million US dollars grant from the World Bank.

The meeting also decided to give approval in principle to the Agriculture Inputs Company Limited to purchase 60,000 metric tonnes of urea and 20,000 metric tonnes of DAP fertilizer from India through G2G medium.

These are the decisions of the cabinet meeting:

1. Accept a concessional loan of 52 million US dollars and a grant worth 5 million US dollars from the World Bank to provide loans to industries to replace conventional boilers with electronic boilers and increase air quality measurement capacity.

2. Approval in principle will be given to Agriculture Inputs Company Limited to purchase 60,000 metric tonnes of urea and 20,000 metric tonnes of DAP fertilizer from India.

3. To approve the revised master plan of the Singha Durbar Complex which includes the issues including entry into the Parliament House premises.

4. To recommend again to the Honorable President to issue the Constitutional Council First Amendment Ordinance 2083 for reconsideration of the ordinance.
