Kathmandu. Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam, has said that there would not be any effective discussion in the parliamentary committee if the issues were raised outside the agenda. Speaking at a meeting of the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee of the House of Representatives, Minister Gautam stressed that the issues raised in the committee should be clear in the agenda.

She said, “The government should be able to respond by making necessary preparations on this issue because the government is called on the committees and the committees. But I don’t think the question and the justification will be effective if the things that are put out of the committee are brought from outside the agenda. If the government gives a clear answer to every issue raised here, then it will be easier for the government to work. ’

She said although the government would give clear answers to every issue raised in the committee, it would be easier to work if the issues were within the agenda. Minister Gautam stressed the need for pre-coordination among the members to make the committee’s performance effective.

“If the agenda of the committee is to be set, there should be coordination among the members before the meeting. It is not possible to present an effective presentation without being prepared by providing emergency information,” she said.

Pointing out the need of maintaining discipline in the committees, she said that both the government and the committee members should be serious towards their responsibilities. Minister Gautam said that the ministries of the government and the parliamentary committees have been established on the basis of different jurisdictions.
