Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Department of Environment Management has intensified vehicle inspection in a bid to reduce the increasing air pollution in the Kathmandu Valley. The Department in coordination with the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has been regularly checking the pollution of the vehicles plying in different places in the area.
According to the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), the campaign has been launched with the objective of improving the air quality in the Kathmandu Valley.
Vehicles that do not meet the standards set by the government during the pollution test are immediately brought under the purview of the law as per the law. The government has initiated the process of taking action with fines as driving vehicles violating the standard will significantly increase air pollution.
