Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — Coordinator of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that he considered the inclusion and proportional representation in the federal parliament as a bigger achievement than the election results of his party. Addressing the House of Representatives (HoR) on Tuesday, Prachanda described the representation as a story written in blood, based on revolution, sacrifice and long struggle.

“For me, the rainbow representation of women, Dalits, indigenous nationalities, Madhesis, Muslims, Tharus, marginalized and oppressed communities and classes in the House of Representatives under the Federal Democratic Republic is more important than the party’s victory,” he said. ’

Prachanda made a comparison between the past and the present on the basis of statistics and explained the transformation of the parliament. He also said that there has been a big achievement in the representation of indigenous nationalities, Madhesi, Muslims, Tharu and backward communities.

He said, “The story of this representation is written in blood, it is written in revolution. The sacrifices of infants on their backs and women carrying guns on their shoulders are inscribed. I am not saying that, I feel that I have entered this august parliament on my own. If the gun we raised against feudalism had not opened the door, from where would the representatives of the oppressed communities have entered here and become ministers?”

Stating that he had the right to take pride in inclusive representation irrespective of the party, Prachanda recalled that he had lit the torch of revolution with his own blood.
