Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — Prime Minister Dr Balendra Shah has said that the government under his leadership is committed to improving the living standard of the Nepali citizens. During his meeting with the ambassadors of the European Union and its member states and ambassadors of other countries in Kathmandu and New Delhi at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers today, the Prime Minister said that he was fully cognizant of the urgency of the present moment and the huge responsibility given to them.
According to PM Shah’s press and research expert Deepa Dahal, during the meeting, Prime Minister Shah said that the results of the recently held elections in Nepal have given a clear and decisive mandate for good governance and inclusive economic prosperity.
“Being new does not mean being completely detached from the past.
We are fully committed to preserving democratic values and maintaining political stability, while ensuring that Nepal’s policy directions are clear, stable and predictable. ‘
“The government under his leadership is committed to good governance of Nepal and inclusive growth of economy,” he said.
The government wants to be benefited from the global market to create new opportunities for the people, the Prime Minister said, adding that the government is committed to attract greater investment, encourage innovation by further simplifying the processes and achieve sustainable development.
Prime Minister Shah made it clear that Nepal would continue to adopt a balanced and pragmatic foreign policy.
“Our relations with our neighbours, development partners and friendly nations are guided by the principles of mutual respect, sovereign equality and shared prosperity,” he said.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to all the development partners and friendly countries of Nepal for their continued goodwill and support for the development and prosperity of Nepal.
He also said that Nepal was committed to further strengthening and consolidating cooperation in key areas such as trade, investment, green energy, climate, tourism and others.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shah stressed that dialogue, diplomacy and international law should take precedence over military confrontation in order to maintain peace.
During
the meeting, the ambassadors of the European Union in Kathmandu and New Delhi and other ambassadors in Kathmandu praised Nepal for conducting the elections in a peaceful manner. They also congratulated the Prime Minister for being under the leadership of the new government with the mandate of good governance, economic development and prosperity. They also said they were ready to collaborate and invest with Nepal in different sectors for economic growth and prosperity.
