Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, 2,055 drivers have been found violating traffic rules. This amounts to Rs 2,211,502 revenue has been deposited in the state exchequer.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 83 were taken for drunken consumption, 192 for ride-sharing, 109 for breaching signal lights and 102 for speeding.
Similarly, 146 for flouting lane discipline, 103 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 112 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 85 for driving one-way traffic and 1,123 for flouting other traffic rules were taken.
