Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — Prime Minister Walendra Shah has said that the government has prepared a plan to provide free education and health services to the underprivileged. He said this in response to questions from lawmakers in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives.

Responding to a question from Nepal Communist Party (NCP) lawmaker Pramesh Hamal, the Prime Minister said that attention should be paid on the issues of trade and tax exemption on goods to be exported in course of Nepal’s graduation to the status of being upgraded to a developing country.

“We have deferred the project for two years so that we can export products produced in the country to different countries. At present, the country needs a lot more money than a confidence boost. Our attention has been focused on increasing money,” he said. I would like to give an example of socialism and communism when I was the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City. We had implemented it after conducting an examination that 10 percent scholarships should be given to the poor in private schools. The children of poor people also got to study in expensive colleges. That’s what socialism is. ‘

On the occasion, he shared that they were trying to implement the policy of providing 10 per cent free service to the poor in education and health sectors across the country. On the occasion, Prime Minister Shah said that the government and the Rastriya Swatantra Party were working to provide free education and health services to the poor people even though the constitution has mentioned the provision of free education and health.
