Kathmandu. U. S. President Donald Trump has said a peace deal with Iran will be signed on Sunday and the Strait of Hormuz will open soon. “The agreement is scheduled to be signed on Sunday. And as soon as it is signed, the Strait of Hormuz will be open to everyone,” Trump wrote on social media.

Trump also claimed that Iran no longer wants nuclear weapons. He suggested that the United States work with Iran to remove uranium at an appropriate time. He said signing the deal would make US relations with Iran “different and better”. However, he said that the process should be moved forward quickly, easily and conveniently, saying that they have the last option.

Pakistan Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar also said that the electronic signing ceremony of the US-Iran deal will be held on Sunday. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also said the United States and Iran had agreed on a framework peace deal and expected to sign it soon. Pakistan is mediating the US-Iran peace talks.

However, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Bakhaei on Sunday ruled out signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Iran and the United States to end the conflict.

Bakhaei said any potential memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States would serve as a framework for continuation of negotiations, but that a final agreement cannot be accepted. (CCTVplus)
