Kathmandu. From now on, schools will not be allowed to cut or cut hair against the wishes of students. This provision has been made in the Education Regulations (10th Amendment) approved by the government on Thursday. The government has introduced a new provision to curb the number of schools that have been forced to cut or cut the hair of students.
According to Rule 25 of the Regulation, no activities that have a negative impact on the physical, psychological and psychosocial condition of the students are allowed to be carried out in the school premises or in the classroom.
Similarly, any act of degrading, defaming or questioning the character of a student on the basis of physical appearance, dress, makeup, or adornment is also prohibited.
Punishing students by standing in the sun or other adverse conditions for long periods of time, hurting their self-esteem and dignity, or engaging in activities that affect physical and mental health are also prohibited.
The regulation clearly states that students cannot be humiliated on the basis of non-payment of fees. Likewise, one cannot publicly deceive, behave in a discriminatory manner and be deprived of participation in classes and examinations.
