Kathmandu. The government has blacklisted 10 construction companies. The Public Procurement Monitoring Office under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on July 9 blacklisted these companies as per Clause 63 (1) of the Public Procurement Act, 2063.
The government has banned Mahadev Khimti Construction Service Pvt Ltd, the construction company owned by former chairman of the Federation of Contractors’ Associations of Nepal (FCAN) Rabi Singh, for 3 years. Similarly, Pappu-Mahadev JV, a joint venture between Singh’s company and Sumit Rauniyar’s Pappu Construction Pvt Ltd, has been blacklisted for 3 years on the recommendation of the Postal Highway Directorate, Itahari.
Similarly, Subhas Shrestha Construction Company (Hetauda) Pvt. Ltd. has been blacklisted for 3 years on the recommendation of Itahari office. Based on a letter sent by Triveni Municipality of Bajura, Tara Prasad Pudasaini’s ‘Global Drugs Suppliers (Dhangadhi)’ has been listed for 1 year. Other blacklisted companies include Dipendra Bahadur Shahi’s Bharat Siddhasai JV for one year and 6 months, Kamala Adhikari Sharma’s Lumbini Motors and Pump Industries for one year, Ranbir Nepali’s Hira Nepali Construction Service (Jumla) for 2 years, Roshan Rai’s Mayumi Construction for one year and Rabi Shrestha’s Shubham Construction Service (Gorkha) for 2 years.
These blacklisted companies will not be able to participate in any procurement or construction process of public bodies during the stipulated period.
