. KATHMANDU — Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav has left for Qatar to pay his condolences on the passing away of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, former Emir of Qatar.
Vice President Yadav has gone to Qatar with a condolence message on behalf of President Ram Chandra Poudel.
Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, father of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the current Emir of Qatar, has left for Qatar to pay condolence on behalf of the Government of Nepal.
During his stay in Qatar, the Vice President is scheduled to meet with high-ranking officials of Qatar and convey condolences on behalf of Nepal. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani led Qatar as Emir from 1995 to 2013.
Heads of state and government of various countries have expressed grief over his death.
