Talks team formed to address the demands of meter bank victims

Kathmandu. The government is to form a talks team to address the demands of the citizens affected by the meter interest. 

Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Pushkar Sapkota, has formed a talk team comprising the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration as members.

 

The decisions of today’s meeting of the Council of Ministers are as follows:

1. To form a talk team under the coordination of Pushkar Sapkota, Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, with Joint Secretaries of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration as members, to hold talks to address the demands of the citizens affected by the unfair transaction (meter interest).

 

2 Rs. Nepal Rastra Bank will be given permission to mint new designs of coins of 1 and 2 denominations.

3. Accept grant assistance of 1.81 million US dollars from the Government of Korea for the establishment of Nepal Law Information Pilot System.

4. The Ministry may, after fulfilling the prevailing legal procedures, give approval ÷to remove trees÷poles within the national forest area within the protected area of the Government of Nepal, Council of Ministers.

5. To approve the organizational structure and positions of various ministries.

6. To approve the Policy Research Foundation Development Committee (Formation) (First Amendment) Order, 2083.

7. To approve provisions relating to the management of employees working on service contract.
