‘Gaunthali’ with a strong message along with entertainment will be released from today

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepali movie ‘Gaunthali’ has been released in cinemas across the country from July 1, 2019. The film has started its commercial journey with more than 200 shows all over Nepal.

About 25 years ago, Dr. Bhola Rijal’s ‘Gaunthali’ has been produced as a musical script this time in a new form with dialogues by his son Dr. The film is directed by Kapil Rijal. With the increase in the number of viewers watching the movie, the film unit has been taking feedback from the audience by visiting various cinema halls in Kathmandu.

Most of the audience and filmmakers who watched the film at the premiere held before the public release have praised its content, direction, presentation and the acting of the actors.

Director Dr. Kapil Rijal has been active in film production and direction for the last few years. According to him, the experience of the doctor has influenced the selection of the story. The issue of sperm donation was raised in ‘Harry’s Love’, while ‘Ghostly’ focuses on the life of a person with mild autism and the importance of daughter’s education in rural society.

Director Rijal says, “As I have worked in the health sector for a long time, it is natural for my stories to include issues related to health.

Along with health, ‘Gauthali’ has also raised the importance of education. Even now, there are many such ‘swallows’ in rural areas. If this film can give the message that daughters should be educated, then my efforts will be successful. In the movie, Simran Khadka has played the role of ‘Gaunthali’, a girl who dreams of completing her higher education after passing SLC. But she is married before she completes her studies. After marriage, when she learns that her husband Thu (Arun Chhetri) is a man with ‘mild autism’, Gauthali starts struggling to continue her studies.

The film is an emotional portrayal of a young woman’s struggle for education, self-sufficiency and dreams. Actress Simran Khadka says, “This film shows how much a daughter has to struggle to fulfill her dreams. The film makes the audience laugh and cry. The audience will not be disappointed as it gives a good message along with entertainment. This role was challenging for actor Arun Chhetri, who played the role of a young man with mild autism in the film ‘

. He said he spent time with people with autism before taking on the role and tried to understand their behaviour and psychology. According to him, in the first three days of the shoot, he acted only through gestures without speaking dialogues. He said that acting became easier as he understood the psychology of the characters.

The movie stars Arun Chhetri, Simran Khadka, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Prakash Ghimire, Luniva Tuladhar, Rabindra Jha, Ishwori Baral, Sanjog Rasaili, Sitadevi Timilsina, Laxminath Timilsina and others.

Dr. The screenplay and dialogues of the film are based on the story of Bhola Rijal. Kapil Rijal, Nischal Kunwar, Niraj Nepal and Giriraj Ghimire have jointly prepared the book.
