Chitwan. Minister for Education and Sports, Sasmit Pokharel, on Friday inspected Shree Ganesh Secondary School at Yauralitar of Rapti municipality-12 in eastern Chitwan. He enquired about the educational status, physical infrastructure and teaching and learning status of the boarding school, where the children of the Chepang community are studying.
On the occasion, Minister Pokharel held discussions with teachers, employees and parents of students.
During the discussion, information was gathered about the educational quality of the school, students’ access to school, educational challenges faced by the children of the Chepang community and the needs of the school.
During the discussion, teachers, staff, and guardians shared their suggestions on the development of school infrastructure, management of educational resources and problems seen at the local level. After the inspection, Minister Pokharel said that providing quality education to children from remote and marginalized communities was a priority of the government.
He added that the Ministry was committed to taking necessary initiatives to address the problems faced by such schools.
