. The Shivapuri-Nagarjun National Park has started a successful trial of e-ticketing service with an objective of making the entry system technology-friendly, easy and transparent.
Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment Geeta Chaudhary has successfully launched the test of e-ticketing service in the Shivapuri-Nagarjun National Park with the objective of making the tourist entry system technology-friendly, easy and transparent. According to the park authorities, the e-ticketing service will be formally operated from the water source and Nagarjun entrance from next week after the successful completion of the test. This program will be expanded in a phased manner and necessary infrastructures such as computer, thermal printer, press scanner and other equipment will be provided with the support of the Ministry.
The e-ticketing service will be gradually expanded to other entry points and check posts having electricity and internet facility.
The Ministry aims to operate e-ticketing service in all national parks and reserves across the country within the next
6 months. Minister Chaudhary said that with the implementation of this system, the tourist entry process would be more rapid, transparent and systematic, revenue management would be effective and service would be easily available to the service seekers.
