. As many as 26 passengers were injured when three vehicles collided along the Muglin-Narayangadh road section this morning.
The accident took place when a bus (L. P. 03-001 Kha 0505) en route to Dang from Kathmandu, a bus (M. P. 03-002 Kha 732) heading to Kathmandu from Sarlahi and a truck (Ba. P. 03-001 Kha 1671) collided with each other at around 7.10 am today. The injured passengers have been rescued and sent to Bharatpur for treatment.
Both sides of the road have been resumed after removing the vehicular movement that was obstructed due to the accident.
Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
The District Administration Office had banned the movement of all types of vehicles along the road section since 10:00 pm last night. Although the road was resumed after lifting the ban this morning, the road was again obstructed after an accident occurred shortly after it was opened.
