. The giant panda has been captured on camera climbing a tree at a conservation center in southwestern China’s Sichuan province. In a recently released video, the pandas can be seen walking smoothly on the branches of trees without being afraid of heights.
The China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda (CCRCGP) released a video shot in June.
In the video, two giant pandas, Qin Xiao and Feng Ye, can be seen balancing on tree branches with their flexible bodies and agile movements.
Two-year-old Qin Xiao is currently in the Dujiangyan section of the CCRCGP, while three-year-old Feng Ye is being held at the Bifengxia base in the city centre of Ya’an.
In the video, the pandas can be seen carefully climbing the branches with their thick hairy hind legs waving lightly in the air. This agility and balance of the giant pandas, commonly known as unsightly and slow-moving animals, have attracted even conservationists.
The CCRCGP is one of the world’s leading organizations in the breeding, conservation and research of the giant panda which is considered a national heritage of China.
The organization has been expanding international cooperation on panda conservation. It currently collaborates with 18 zoos, 39 domestic animal breeding organizations and more than 10 scientific research organizations in 16 countries and regions. CCTV
