Kathmandu.Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal has said songs, music, literature and art are the feelings, history and identity of the Nepali society.
Addressing the 104th birth anniversary of senior lyricist Ramola Devi Shah ‘Chhinnalata’ and the 44th Chinnalata Geet Award Dedication Ceremony-2083 BS on Saturday, Prime Minister Oli said that song, music, literature and art have effectively expressed the joys and sorrows, love-separation, hopes and aspirations, social consciousness and national sentiment.”Song, music, literature and art are our emotions,” he said.

Songs, music, art and literature have played a very effective role in the happiness and sorrow of Nepali life, love-separation, hope, aspiration, social consciousness and national sentiment. In continuation of this rich tradition, Chhinnalata Geet Puraskar Guthi has been honoring and encouraging Nepali music creators for a long time. “
Speaker Aryal said that Chhinnalata Geet Puraskar Guthi is an organization associated with the creative contribution and memory of Nepali lyricist and composer Ramola Devi Shah ‘Chhinnalata’.
He said, “The name of the Chhinnalata Geet Puraskar Guthi is associated with the creative contribution and memory of Nepali lyricist and creator Ramola Devi Shah ‘Chhinnalata’.
The award, established in recognition of his contribution, has been promoting continuity, quality and creativity in Nepali music industry. Senior artist Madan Krishna Shrestha has been honored with this year’s Chinnalata Song Award .
Similarly, Dr. Nawaraj Lamsal (Lyrics), Kiran Kandel (Music Creation), Bimala Rai (Singing) and Sarika Ghimire (Youth Talent) were also honored and awarded.
