Commitment of Law Minister to work honestly, Physical Infrastructure Minister’s promise not to return empty-handed to those who ask for budget
Ramechhap. KATHMANDU: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sovita Gautam, has said that the government was effortful to make development construction works and service delivery effective despite limited resources.
Speaking at a meeting organized in Manthali on Saturday, she said that although the government had carried out works in the past also, it was not moving at the expected pace.
He said the government was focused on accelerating the development works by systematically mobilizing limited resources.
Minister Gautam stressed that the leadership level should be honest for the development of the country and the weaknesses seen in the bureaucracy would also be controlled.
“A lot of work can be done if we can move forward collectively by honestly utilizing the limited coffers,” she said.
Stating that a lot of work still needs to be done in the area of law formulation and reform, she urged the stakeholders to give suggestions for necessary legal amendments.
Stating that the government has been carrying out works by prioritizing development construction along with law reforms, she urged one and all to move ahead with optimism.
On the occasion, Minister
for Physical Infrastructure Sunil Lamsal said that the government has allocated a lump sum budget for the current fiscal year and the chairpersons of the municipalities who come to the ministry with necessary plans will not be sent back.
Stating that there was no shortage of budget, he urged the people’s representatives of the local levels to come to the ministry with necessary plans and demands.
He also expressed the government’s commitment to expand the road network to the rural municipality center and blacktop the roads connecting the rural centers.
He said that adequate budget has been allocated for the road and there is no problem in constructing the road. “There is no problem of budget, the party municipalities should come to the ministry with demands, not to raise questions,” he said.
