. The protest by the Kakroz Janata Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi has been postponed. The protesting group announced the withdrawal of the protest after talks with the government.
The CJP has claimed that their demands have been addressed and urged the supporters to return home peacefully.
Earlier, protests had intensified over the release of those arrested during the protests and other demands.
Security has been beefed up at Jantar Mantar area following the ongoing protest for the past few days.
The Delhi Police deployed a large number of security personnel in and around Jantar Mantar and stepped up vigil at the protest site.
The CJP’s protest started with demands related to problems in the education sector, examination irregularities and accountability of the government.
