Janakpur. Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment Gita Chaudhary has directed the experts and researchers of Agriculture Research Centre, Hardinath to focus on paddy production.
Minister Chaudhary, who is on a two-day visit to Dhanusha, met with the experts of the Research Agriculture Research Center at Hardinath of Dhanusha on Sunday and took information about the production and research of agriculture in the region. On the occasion, Minister Chaudhary pointed out the problems existing in the agriculture sector of Madhesh Province and directed the researchers to emphasize on Chaite paddy production.

Chaudhary suggested the experts to focus on research on dry paddy that can be produced with less water as there is a serious problem of irrigation in Madhes province.
On the occasion, Minister Chaudhary directed the research centre to create environment conducive to maximum farmers to use the seeds of Hardina paddy as only 35 per cent of the farmers were found to be using the seeds of Hardina paddy produced from Hardinath.
She suggested the research center to work in a way to provide one package to the farmers in order to create an environment for seed production, fertilizer, market management and so on. Minister Chaudhary suggested that the research centers should do the work of bringing the budget themselves instead of complaining about the lack of budget. Chaudhary visited various agricultural cooperatives, agricultural production organizations and organizations directly associated with farmers in Dhanusha district for the past two days to take stock of the problems and the situation of farmers. She said that the government would pay special attention to further enhance the agriculture production of farmers and agriculture in Madhesh Province.
