Revocation of Registrar’s appointment will be finalized today

Dhangadhi. Dr KC has been staging a hunger strike since last Thursday putting forth 7-point demands, including annulling the appointment of vice-chancellor and registrar at Sahid Dashar Chand University of Health Sciences. It is claimed that the talks between Dr Govinda KC and the government are nearing an agreement. The talks were close to an agreement but could not be signed on Sunday.
The two sides held talks throughout the day on Sunday, but no agreement was reached. Dr. KC, who was in talks on behalf of Dr. KC. Amrit Jaisi said.
“The talks are close to an agreement,” Jaisi said.
He did not disclose what was agreed upon. But Jaisi says the consensus will be an important achievement for health sector reform.

KC’s third demand is to implement the legal provisions of the Act to make medical education completely non-profit.
KC has also demanded implementation of the written agreements reached with the previous government, protection of the health rights of the people in the border areas, an impartial investigation into the vandalism and violence during the Jenji agitation on September 7 and 24 and bringing the culprits to book.
He said that there is an attempt to curtail the right to health of the citizens living in remote areas.
