. Representatives of all three tiers of government held important discussions on Sunday to resolve the dispute between two communities seen in Janakpurdham for the past few days with the active initiative of Home Minister Sudhan Gurung.
The meeting was attended by Chief Minister of Madhes Province, Home Minister, Finance Minister, Mayor of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City and Home Minister Gurung.
The meeting held serious discussions on maintaining social harmony by reviewing the religious dispute that emerged in recent days and the situation created by it.
During the discussions, a delegation of the Hindu Samrat formally presented their demands to the government.
The government has expressed its commitment to move towards resolution of these demands after holding necessary discussions with the bodies concerned.
The government has said that it will take necessary decision on the demands received keeping in mind the sensitivity of the current situation.
Likewise, priority has been given to further consolidating peace and security in Janakpurdham by maintaining religious and social harmony.

Minister Gurung had been continuously taking initiatives for dialogue by bringing all political parties and stakeholders together to resolve the disputes. The discussion is seen as an important step towards resolving the problem through dialogue and consensus.
The government has urged all sides to exercise restraint, maintain social harmony and cooperate in resolving the problems through dialogue and negotiations.
