Kanwariyas hold condolence meeting at Pashupatinath temple for peace of departed souls of three people killed in Sunsari-Siraha protest

Sirha. KATHMANDU: Kanwariyas have organized a condolence assembly on the premises of Pashupatinath Temple to pray for the peace of the departed souls of Ganesh Yadav, Om Prakash Mehta and Jaya Prakash Mehta who lost their lives during the demonstrations in Sunsari and Siraha.

The Kanwariyas of Siraha paid tribute to the three deceased and prayed for their souls to rest in eternal peace.

A special prayer has been offered to Lord Pashupatinath for further consolidating the environment of peace, harmony, social unity and mutual brotherhood in the country.

The Kanwariyas who participated in the condolence meeting had set out on a foot march from the northern bahini of Siraha about eight days ago.

They offered holy water after reaching the Pashupatinath Temple.

After the rituals of offering water, they paid tribute to Ganesh Yadav, Om Prakash Mehta and Jayaprakash Mehta who lost their lives in the recent incident. The participants of the program said that violence and conflict do not benefit anyone, and all sides should be responsible for maintaining peace, tolerance and harmony in the society.
