According to Al Jazeera, Netanyahu commented on the Trump administration’s latest Board of Peace agreement and said that the reconstruction phase should be carried out only after Hamas is disarmed and the Gaza Strip is demilitarized.
“I have some disagreements with President Trump on the recent Hamas deal, which I will not hide. Hamas must be disarmed and Gaza demilitarized before Gaza embarks on reconstruction,” Netanyahu said.
He made the comments after a meeting with Nikolai Mladenov, the chief envoy of the Board of Peace.
Meanwhile, the Board of Peace on the implementation of the Gaza Transition Plan has also made it clear that the process of complete withdrawal by the Israeli army from Gaza will begin only after the weapons are destroyed.
The board said the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) needed the complete deactivation of all weapons in Gaza before they could withdraw from the Yellow Line. The Board of Peace has said that the immediate or partial withdrawal of Israeli troops, as some recent reports have suggested, is incorrect. It said the IDF would leave the Yellow Line only after the destruction of light weapons, heavy weapons and tunnels in line with Hamas’ commitments to mediators. “The goal is clear: the complete neutralization of all weapons in Gaza and the transition from gun rule to civilian rule,” the board said in a statement. “
The board said the transitional process would be carried out with the aim of establishing a stable civil administration in Gaza and ensuring a secure future for both the Israeli and Palestinian communities.
The process will be overseen by the International Stabilization Force and the Implementation Certification Committee.
The committee will include representatives from the United States and the Board of Peace. Some Israeli officials have said that Trump’s proposed Gaza roadmap does not fully reflect Israel’s official position.

Israel, Doron Spielman, a spokesman for the Prime Minister’s Office, said that the version of the agreement was not in line with Israel’s position. He said that Israel has already sent its concerns and suggestions to the US authorities.
“Disarmament means the physical surrender of its weapons to Hamas,” Spillman said.
Any arrangement other than complete disarmament would allow Hamas to threaten Israel again. However, Israeli President Isaac Herzog has expressed a positive view of the Board of Peace’s initiative. He called Trump’s 20-point Gaza peace plan a “positive step” and called for the complete disarmament of Hamas. According to officials, this roadmap is based on the 20-point Gaza peace plan agreed earlier.
