. KATHMANDU: Members of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) representing the far-western state to the House of Representatives held a meeting with Prime Minister Balendra Shah at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers today.
During the meeting, the lawmakers praised the government’s works in the field of good governance and expressed their commitment to inform the people about these achievements through the parliament.
They also drew the attention of the Prime Minister towards various development projects related to their constituencies and local problems.
The lawmakers apprised the Prime Minister about the problems, political situation and possibilities in the Far-West. They apprised the participants about the operation of Geta University, management of stray cattle in the Terai region of Kailali and Kanchanpur, Dhangadhi-Khutiya-Dipayal fast track, electrification, reduction in road accidents, construction of embankments, Pancheshwar Multipurpose Project, West Seti Hydropower Project and other local problems.
They also raised the issue of customs related problems, reservation victims, postal roads, purchase and sale of paddy for farmers and river erosion in Dodhara-Chandani area. Tara
