. Five people have been arrested in possession of drugs.
Police on Tuesday arrested Sandesh Yadav, 20, of Mirchaiya Municipality-5, Siraha with 45 grams and 190 milligrams of heroin from Bhiman in Kamalamai Municipality-9, Sindhuli. A police team deputed from the Narcotics Control Bureau Branch Office, Bardibas arrested him after finding him in a bus (Madhesh Province 05-001 Ja 0086) en route to Kathmandu from Mahottari.
Police also arrested Rahul Kumar Mandal, 20, of Kamala Municipality-7, Dhanusha and Abhishek Kumar Sah, 20, of Kalyanpur Municipality-6, Siraha, who were riding a motorcycle (Ba.02-046 Pa 4853). Police also arrested two persons with 820 milligrams of brown heroin and 1,430 tablets of Tramadol from Biman of Kamalamai Municipality-9 in Sindhuli district this morning.
The arrestees have been identified as Bikash Dahal, 30, of Dharan Sub-metropolis-6, Sunsari and Sagar Karki, 24, of Itahari-17.
A police team deployed from the Narcotics Control Bureau Branch Office, Bardibas arrested them after they were travelling in a Hayes (Ba.01-006 Kha 3712) en route to Kathmandu from Morang.
Police said further investigation is underway in this connection.
