. The government has appointed Yanky Ukayab as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Investment Board Nepal. A cabinet meeting held on Wednesday decided to appoint Ukayab as the CEO of the board.
Investment Board Nepal (
IBN) is the main body responsible for the approval, facilitation and investment friendly environment of foreign and domestic large investment projects. The Board has been promoting and managing mega projects in strategic sectors such as energy, infrastructure, tourism and transportation.
The newly
appointed CEO is an experienced expert in the field of development economics and public policy. She holds experience as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Pacific Regional Office of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
She holds a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from the University of Oxford, UK.
He has experience in development policy, economic transformation, investment promotion and institutional reforms.
The government has given Uqyab the responsibility of leadership with the goal of attracting investment, expediting the implementation of mega projects and making collaboration with the private sector more effective.
