Kathmandu. The new update of the Nepa app, which is aimed at Nepali users, has added various digital services and useful tools related to daily life. The new update includes OCR that can extract Nepali text from photos, water reminders to drink water, district weather, price of vegetables and fuel, empty hospital beds and blood bank information.
In the new update, OCR and water reminders related to health and daily life have been prioritized, especially in Nepali language.
OCR is one of the key features of the new update. Through this, Nepali letters and words in a photo or photo can be converted into digital text. Books, newspapers, notices or other documents can be photographed and used digitally without having to retype the Nepali content contained in them.
This feature can be useful for students, teachers, journalists, office workers, and users who regularly work with Nepali-language content.
Water Reminder
Water Reminder has also been added in the new update. It will remind the user to drink water at the scheduled time if they forget to drink water on time due to daily busyness. Users will be able to set reminders according to their needs.
World Clock and BMI Calculator
The app also includes World Clock and BMI Calculator. The World Clock can see the local time of different countries and cities. It will help users who need to contact relatives abroad and manage time for international work. Similarly, the BMI calculator helps to calculate the body mass index based on height and weight.
Vacant hospital beds and blood bank information
In order to make health related information easily available, the list of vacant beds available in the hospital and the details of the blood bank according to the hospital have also been added to the app. These facilities can be useful to find information about the availability of hospital beds and blood banks when needed.
Public Service and Tender Information
Public Service Commission and Tender Information has also been included in the app for users interested in government information and opportunities. This will make it easier for students preparing for public service, people looking for government opportunities, and businessmen who need information related to tenders to get information through one medium.
Fuel Price & Trip Calculator
The new update also includes a trip calculator along with information on petrol and diesel prices. This feature, which can be used to estimate the fuel cost of the journey based on the distance traveled and the fuel consumption of the vehicle, will help individual vehicle users and long-distance travel plans.
Vegetable prices and district-wise weather
The app has added a facility to check the price of vegetables for information related to the daily market. Similarly, information related to the weather of different districts can be obtained through the district-wise weather facility.
The app already has features like Nepali calendar, Nepali news, district news, nearby news, Nepali Radio, daily horoscope, gold price converter, foreign currency exchange rate, currency converter, document scanner, monthly tracker, notes and reminders, QR code scanner, Nepali date converter, unit converter, calculator, tax calculator, EMI calculator, GPS location sharing and internet speed meter.
